The Doula Approach to Presenting Information.
A doula is a specialist who provides emotional, informational, practical, organizational support, and long-term guidance during transitional phases of life.
Doulas have been known as assistants in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum since the 1960s. Therefore, there is a considerable body of research on their impact.
For example, women who give birth with doulas have a 52% lower likelihood of cesarean section, a 57% lower likelihood of postpartum depression or anxiety disorder.
With doulas, women experience less pain and more satisfaction with their childbirth experiences.
So even familiar information in this course will be seen from a new perspective, in a holistic approach, with respect for any of your choices.
